Sumeet is the founder of HighPoint Associates. Prior to founding HPA in 2001, he was Vice President of Strategy & Business Development for Digital Media Campus, an early stage venture firm for the media & entertainment industries. Before that, he served dozens of clients across industry and functional sectors as an Engagement Manager with McKinsey & Company, both in their New York and Los Angeles offices. Sumeet holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BS from the Wharton School of Business.
Richard is a Partner with HighPoint Associates and runs the firm’s New York office. Before joining HPA, he was a Principal at Katzenbach Partners, a boutique management consulting firm, where he led client engagements and developed new business in the telecommunications, health care and financial services sectors. Prior to that, Richard led acquisition and consumer marketing for AT&T Wireless. His professional experience also includes senior management positions at two successful high tech start-ups, and brand management and finance roles at Procter & Gamble. He holds an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and a BS from Washington University in St. Louis.
Katrin is a Partner in HighPoint Associates’ Los Angeles office. Prior to joining HPA, she was a Senior Principal at The Boston Consulting Group where she led client development efforts, corporate and commercial strategy engagements, as well as organizational design initiatives for leading life sciences clients. Before this, Katrin spent almost a decade as a Principal with Monitor Group, advising clients across a variety of industries on critical strategic issues. Earlier in her career, Katrin was a Consultant in Andersen Consulting’s Change Management practice where she helped build the firm’s Central European practice. Katrin holds an MBA from INSEAD and an MA from Freie Universität Berlin in Germany.
Tim is a Partner in HighPoint’s Dallas office. Prior to joining HPA, Tim founded, grew to $20 million in revenues, and eventually sold his interest in, a residential construction company working in conjunction with various government entities to rebuild storm-damaged homes. He previously held various leadership roles with Cadbury Schweppes Bottling and Centex Homes with responsibilities across multiple functions, including strategy, operations, sales, supply chain, product development and lean continuous improvement. He also was a consultant with McKinsey & Company in Dallas, focusing on strategy, operations and organizational effectiveness. Tim served as a U.S. Navy fighter pilot for ten years, flying the FA-18 Hornet, graduating as a TOPGUN Adversary, and completing over 280 carrier landings. He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, a BS from Georgia Institute of Technology, and a Lean Six Sigma certification from University of Texas at Arlington.
Chief Operating Officer
Kevin is HighPoint Associates’ Chief Operating Officer. He has spent the bulk of his career in the investment banking field, primarily working with growth companies at such firms as Merrill Lynch, Salomon Smith Barney (where he was responsible for Smith Barney’s Midwest Region) and SG Cowen (where he directed the firm’s global IT and Business Services practice). He also served as CFO of a billion dollar NYSE-listed athletic apparel and footwear company, and has been involved in a number of entrepreneurial and consulting activities, including serving as CEO of a consulting firm focused on human resource and organizational development issues. He currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Sport Chalet, Inc. (NASDAQ:SPCHA/SPCHB). Kevin holds an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and a BA from Yale University.
Wendy serves as Director of HPA’s advisor network, leading all recruiting, network, and staffing efforts across the company. Prior to joining HighPoint Associates, she held consulting positions for almost a decade, including stints at Cap Gemini Ernst & Young and the Wharton Small Business Development Center. Earlier in her career she worked in the publishing industry, holding positions at the Hearst Book Group and Food & Wine Magazine. She holds an MBA from the Wharton School of Business and an AB from Washington University.
Jim is a Senior Advisor with HighPoint Associates who draws on over 40 years of experience as a consultant, senior executive, and Board leader in both the corporate and nonprofit sectors. Jim serves as the CEO of two early stage internet companies and the Chair of a third. He previously served as a Senior Executive Vice President at KeyCorp and was a member of their Executive Committee and Chair of Retail Banking. Before this, Jim spent 30 years with McKinsey & Company where his work spanned strategy, operations and organizational effectiveness. As a Director with the firm, he ran the Cleveland office and held several leadership positions including the managing partnership of the Canadian and Midwest practices, membership on the firm’s worldwide Executive Committee, and membership on the firm’s Shareholders Committee. Jim holds a JD from Harvard Law School and a BA from Cornell University.
Henry serves as a Senior Advisor with HighPoint Associates. His background includes over 30 years of consulting and broad industry experience, focused on corporate strategy. Henry is a current and former director of several publicly traded technology companies. Prior to joining HPA, Henry served as a consultant to various public and private companies and as the Chairman and CEO of Homespace, Inc., an internet real estate, mortgage and homeowner services provider. Before this, he held senior executive positions as Executive Vice President of First Data Corporation and CFO of Dayton Hudson Corporation, where he led profit improvement efforts. As a Director of McKinsey & Company, Henry was a member of the firm’s Strategy, Energy and Healthcare practices and advised clients across various functional sectors from the firm’s Los Angeles office. Henry holds an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and a BA from Amherst College.
Bob is a Senior Advisor with HighPoint Associates who has over 30 years of experience as a senior executive and management consultant. He currently counsels CEOs and other senior executives on strategy and organizational issues, primarily within the technology, media, financial services and utility sectors. Bob has held senior executive positions such as acting CEO and acting CTO for multiple companies, including: Motif Inc., ITM Software, Silicon Valley Bank, Netliant, and Alibris. Before this, Bob spent 11 years at McKinsey & Company, where he was a Director in the San Francisco and Silicon Valley offices and a Leader of the Information Technology and Systems Practice. Prior to joining McKinsey, Bob was the Managing Partner of the San Francisco office of the Boston Consulting Group. He also worked at Peat, Marwick, Mitchell & Co. (now KPMG) as a Systems Consultant. Bob holds an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and a BA from Yale University.
Tom is a Senior Advisor with HighPoint Associates who has more than 35 years of experience working with management teams of global corporations on strategy, organizational behavior and design, and operational improvements. He is a former Director at McKinsey & Company, where his tenure spanned 28 years. At McKinsey, he led the firm’s Electronics and Telecommunications Practices and helped establish the Strategy Practice. Tom also served as the firm’s CIO for three years, led the Stamford office, and served on multiple key personnel committees. Following his time with McKinsey, Tom founded ClearView Advisors to provide consulting services to privately-held and non-profit organizations. Tom began his career as an engineer at Texas Instruments. He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, an MSEE from Southern Methodist University, and a BSEE from Duke University.
Alex is a Senior Advisor with HighPoint Associates who draws on over 30 years of experience as a consultant and senior operating executive. He is a former Managing Director for The Boston Consulting Group, and was one of the leaders of the firm’s North American Industrial Goods Practice. At BCG and as an independent consultant, Alex has served clients across multiple sectors, including technology, financial services, automotive, industrial and healthcare, and his work has spanned growth strategy, supply chain optimization, merger integration and organizational restructuring. He also founded and served as CEO of Sameday Technologies, a provider of third party fulfillment services which was eventually sold to Ryder Logistics. He holds a BS from Stanford University.
