A $10B private equity firm was contemplating an acquisition in a niche healthcare services space and sought a market assessment of the sector.
HighPoint was engaged and deployed two primary professionals. The first was a practicing MD and former Boston Consulting Group Principal who had extensive experience in and around the provider space. The second was a former Bain Manager with several years of experience leading diligence efforts for Bain’s private equity clients.
The pair’s combination of experience was key, as the client’s deal team had no previous exposure to the niche space.
The team educated the client on the niche industry, conducted multiple industry interviews, defined target sector’s market landscape and growth opportunity, and provided detailed findings on scalability of the target business to help inform the client’s investment decision.
